Last year, Reliance introduced Jio AirFiber during its AGM meeting, and it appears that the company is now preparing to launch the technology in the Indian market. Jio AirFiber promises to deliver superfast internet speeds to wireless devices, with a maximum speed of 1 Gbps. The technology delivers fibre-like speeds over the air without requiring any wired connection, and you can simply plug it in and turn it on to start using it. With JioAirFiber, you’ll receive a personal Wi-Fi hotspot in your home or office that connects to ultra-high-speed internet using True 5G technology.
Currently, users can only access 5G internet on their smartphones, but with the new AirFiber service, they will be able to enjoy the latest and fastest internet and connectivity features on other devices as well. To use Jio AirFiber, users will need to install a new 5G SIM in the device, after which they can access the internet service. Jio AirFiber offers two options: users can turn on the internet by using a cable, or they can take advantage of wireless connectivity and move the device around with ease.
While there is no official announcement from the company yet, we expect Jio AirFiber to launch in the second half of the year. With this upcoming service, Jio promises to change the game when it comes to internet speed and accessibility in India.
